Functions

Control modes:

• Velocity control mode

• Wide range of Positioning Control Modes (homing, relative, absolute, target)

• Electric Gear with programmable gear ratio to track external master reference (from fieldbus or incremental encoder) of motor Speed and Position

• High speed I/O triggered motor start & stop to event syncronizing for fast response demanding application: labeling, nick_finder, on fly cut., etc ...

• Multi Axis movements syncronization capability

• On fly change among any Motion Module Control Modes• On fly Electric Gear Enable/Disable capability

• Drive control through commands by Master Controller. Suitable for multi axes systems (up to 127 drives). Built in Powerful Motion Module functionality assures Perfect Synchronization between axes and reduces Master Controller workload.

The SM line is a series of full digital drives with an integrated 50-pole motor and local logic suitable to be connected via CANbus (CANopen DS301/DS402), or serial (Modbus-RTU) to single or multi-axle systems in slave mode. Featuring the PowerMotion Module and high speed inputs and outputs, these electronics allow for multiple control modes even with advanced features. The setup and debug of the application is done by configuring all the parameters via software, thanks to the software interfaces for PC windows called SL-Monitor.

They are recommended in all applications in which the synchronisation of the axles, versatility, precision, execution speed and low operating temperatures are required.

Technologies

Modbus is a communication protocol among the most widely used standards in the world of industrial devices. All our devices equipped with a serial interface (RS232 or RS485) implement and support the Modbus RTU protocol.

The innovative f4d2 technology allows the motor’s excitation at high efficiency chopper thanks to the calculations speed for the current regulation performed by the drive's microprocessor and thanks to a proprietary patented algorithm.
