The SW5 series of drives with Powerlink interface consists of single and multi-axis devices suitable for the vector control of stepper motors.
SW5 drives provide exceptional reliability combined with mechanical compactness and competitive cost: these drives allow stepper motors to be controlled even in close loops of torque, speed and position, with a drastic reduction in noise, less heating and extremely smooth motion.

Within this series of drives, you will find products with both Powerlink fieldbus (DS402) and programmable devices via our e3PLC programming environment.


They have outputs for driving two independent motors (synchronising movements in multi-axis systems even without a fieldbus) and an isolated input for incremental or absolute encoders.
Characterised by innovative performance, they have been produced integrating the new “Else - Error Less Servo Efficient” technology for precise sinusoidal current control.

Easily linked to a touch-screen HMI device with which all application parameters can be set, these drives are especially suited for use in labelling machines, laser cutters, pick-place devices, engraving tables and more: in all applications where versatility, precision and speed are required, as well as quiet and smooth motion - such as in the medical sector, for example.
